I got adopted today with my best friend Chorizo, hooray!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
My family had to move to Michigan and couldn't take us with them, so I am back at the shelter with my very best friend, Chorizo the guinea pig! We're looking for a home where we can stay together. Chorizo is a 6-year-old tri-colored male guinea pig who cuddles up with me and puts his paws on my paws at night and sings to me his squeaky songs.

I am a sweetie pie who likes to be held and cuddled, but I am also a brilliant Houdini in disguise as an innocent and adorable lop bunny. I easily hop out of an exercise pen. If I'm in a tall pen and there's a box or something I can hop on top of, I will even move that to get it close to the side so I can jump out. In the tall runs at the Oakland Animal Shelter, I actually climb up the hardware cloth, putting my toenails in the holes to climb up the 3.5-foot wall to escape. Basically, I really just want to be a free-roaming house bunny! I like people and like to be pet, but I'm a little hard to catch if you want to pick me up - I'm quick like a bunny! Essentially I'm cute, I'm smart, I want attention and affection, and I don't want to be caged - I want to be free!

I am waiting for you at the Oakland Animal Shelter, so no need to email or anything if you want to meet me, just come on down and visit! You can find directions and hours on our website. The adoption fee for a rabbit at Oakland Animal Shelter is $35. The adoption fee for a guinea pig is $15.
