"Sugar" is the right name for this handsome, neutered New Zealand White bunny, because he is a wonderful, sweet bunny.

This big guy was found as a stray in San Francisco in an area known for rabbits being raised and sold for meat. He likely was lucky enough to escape becoming someone's dinner. YUCK!

Anyway, on a brighter note, Sugar is just waiting to meet that special person who will fall in love with his big goofy face and adopt him.

Big white bunnies like Sugar are often the hardest ones for shelters and rescues to adopt, because some people don't like their ruby, jeweled colored eyes. We think they are GORGEOUS and that it is the bunny's personality that is important anyway.

So, please visit Sugar and see for yourself what a great guy he is. If you want to adopt a nice, loving boy, Sugar's your man. Be sure to bring his ID number A221100.

Please visit Sugar at San Francisco Animal Care and Control at 1200 Harrison Street at 15th in the Mission District. Shelter hours are 12-6, except 12-7 on Thursdays. 415-554-9405.
