I just found my forever home!

Hello. My name is Alfred. I am one of a large group of rabbits rescued from a neglect situation in Marin County.

I am a shy guy, yet also very sweet and loving. It only takes a few minutes for me to relax. Please just take the time to talk with me and pet me. I also love to be kissed.

Because I was so neglected, I'm not used to people being nice to me, but I really like it! When people visit, I run over to the front of the cage to say hello, but then might cower and assume the worst,because that is mostly what I have seen and experienced until now. Once you gently touch me, I melt with appreciation.

My foster mother likes to snuggle and nap with me on the sofa and I am quickly discovering how nice it feels to be petted and gently talked to.

My chances of being adopted are very slim, not only because I am shy, but my eyes are pink. For some reason people don't like that. I just don't understand why they feel that way when they don't even know me. Sadly, I've even heard that sometimes people focus only on bunny looks or breed type and not personality. They end up rejecting a bunny without even knowing how delightful he or she might be, giving up on the real likelihood of discovering a hidden treasure---like me.

So, if you are the type of person who truly loves animals of all shapes, sizes and colors, and wants to help a special animal in need, then I'm your man.
