9/24/09 Update from Hattie & Mattie's Adopters

Hattie and Mattie are now named RuthAnne (the gray one) and Maggie (the English Spot). We named them after our favorite TV show (Northern Exposure). They are getting into fun- but not much mischief, thank goodness! They are currently extra happy because we went out to buy a new area rug for them (we have hardwood floors throughout). They were used to the hardwood floors, but couldn't do binkies very well. So just a few minutes ago we laid down the new rug and Ruthie did the hugest binkie we've ever seen after just a few minutes of investigating it. So fun! Oh my gosh Maggie just did two in a row. Awesome. :)

They seem quite happy and very healthy and only occasionally intimidated by the dogs they hear barking from our neighbor's... :) They LOVE the parsley I grew for them on my porch and they fight over the organic carrot tops we get from the farmer's market. And cutting their nails is only a little distressing for us. So all is well in bunny land!

We were adopted today by a really nice couple! Hooray, we have gone home!

Hi! We’re Hattie and Mattie (named after the Holly Near song!). We are a loving rabbit couple. We were recently rescued from a shelter when our time was up, lived in a foster home for a little while, and now are at the Oakland Animal Shelter and available for adoption! We are both craving human interaction and are looking for a loving home where we can have some one-on-one attention. We are both a bit shy but very sweet and loving.

P.S. We are both litter box trained and keep our room very neat!
Plus, Mattie (the silky gray bunny) is VERY adventurous and loves to climb.
