I've been adopted as a husbun for a lovely, sweet girl named Maui. I'm sure we'll be very happy together!

UPDATE 6/23/09
Chester is doing great and is now ready to find his forever home. Here he is playing with a toy. He's still a bit raggedly and of course he's a older bunny.

Have to admit it....We love the older bunnies! They are usually sweet, mellow and love hanging out with people Plus, just look at that face!

Chester is prone to getting mites, so an indoor home only is a must.
This little guy is ready to spend his twilight years being loving and grateful for the time he spend with you. We thought his cowlick hairdo was too cute!

Meet Chester!

UPDATE 6/16/2009

Chester was neutered on 6/12 by Dr. Carolynn Harvey at Chabot Veterinary Clinic in Hayward. He'll spend the next few weeks staying in a foster home, then will return to Save A Bunny and be available for adoption. While at his foster home, we'll also be working to clear up his ongoing battle with fur mites.

His litterbox skills have improved dramatically since being neutered. He's still his calm and gentle self, is easy to handle, very laid back, and can sleep through just about anything. He even snores sometimes when he's deep in bunny dreamland!

UPDATE 5/14/09

We are looking for the perfect home for Chester. Let's see if it's you.

Chester is now all cleaned up and ready to be adopted. He looks good. Eats well. Is adorable and more. So, what's the problem, then?
Well, he is kind of stinky.

You see, we tried twice to have Chester neutered. Each time under anesthesia he started to "check out" and he was revived. It was decided by the doctors just not to try again for fear that he wouldn't survive.

So Chester still has all his boy parts and as an older, intact male he is , um...pungent. Did we mention that he is very cute and a really nice bunny.

So, we are at a bit of a crossroads with Chester. He must go to someone who isn't fussy and doesn't mind some bunny musk. The adopter must also sign an agreement not to let him interact with other intact rabbits.

If you think have the right spot for Chester in your life, please contact us, OK?

BEFORE PHOTOS AND STORY

Hi. My name is Chester. As you can see from my photo, I am kind of a mess. I'm still cute though! I look like this because I was severely neglected and then surrendered to a shelter. The shelter staff did not put me up for adoption because ....as I think we've already discussed...I am a mess.

I need some TLC, antibiotics and when I am healthy enough, I need to be neutered. I'm a little stinky right now, but it's not really my fault! If you think you have room in your heart and home to foster me, I would really welcome some kindness, pampering and love for a change.

I also need to see a veterinarian. If you can make a donation to help me we would be very grateful. Please let me be your "economic stimulus package." I'm a worthy cause!
