It is with great sadness that we pass along the news that our buddy Hank passed away after extensive dental surgery to his molars.
Hank was not in good shape when we took him from the San Jose shelter and we gave him every chance we could to give him a safe loving place to call home and help with his infected teeth.
We loved you little man and will miss you greatly.

Hi. My name is Hank. I am a gentle, big gray boy who is a little shy at first. My life has not been an easy one, based on how I look and the condition I was in at the shelter. When Marcy at SaveABunny met me at the shelter, she saw that I was huddled in the back of the cage and looked sad and uncomfortable. I had that look like I had given up hope. My eyes were runny and my fur was patchy. I had been deemed "unadoptable" by the shelter due to my medical condition, so my only hope was rescue.

The good news is that now I am receiving the medical attention I need, a good diet, a delightful grooming and I am starting to perk up and feel better about myself and the world.

When the vet examined me, she discovered that I have a very long and painful molar point that was digging into my cheek and tongue. It was super painful and now that it's been trimmed back and I have gotten pain meds, I feel so much better. One of my upper front teeth had also been broken off, so my teeth were trimmed to even things out and I can't being to tell you how much better it feels not to have my mouth hurt all the time. I am also receiving eye drops for my weepy eyes

I am learning to relax and know that now I am safe and loved. What a difference it is to feel like people care about me and want me to be happy. It feels really nice and I'm very grateful.
