Hi. My name is Haiku.

I am short, poetic and easy to sit with.

As pretty as I am , I am on a diet to lose weight, since it is clear that someone seriously overfed me before I was left at the San Francisco shelter. I am a dwarf girl who should weight between 3-4 pounds and right now I weight 4.5 pounds. My foster mom has me on a strict diet of mostly hay (she says it is so much easier to make ME diet, than stick her diet!). I'm pretty sure I smelled chocolate on her breath when she gave me my fresh hay tonight!

I'm considered a special needs rabbit for now, because of my weight, as well as my eyes and I am under observation.

Both of my eyes have some irritation, scarring and overgrowth of the third eyelid. This condition could be due to trauma or infection, so I am receiving antibiotics for a few weeks. I'm a very good patient and might make a wonderful foster bunny for someone who wants to help.

When I lose my weight I will be spayed and then be placed up for adoption. Watch here for more info about me.
