I'm being adopted as a companion to "Thumpy", formerly known as "Spencer" at SaveABunny.
I am very excited about my new life and really love my foster mom Lisa for the healing and love she gave me!

**Special Thanks to Brownie Troop 197 of Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County for your donation to help me! Brownies are the best!***

Hello. My name is Esther. I am just a tiny, little girl---probably less than two pounds. Here I am with my stuffed bunny friend. I take very good care of my stuffed bunny friend and maybe you have a neutered boy bunny who is looking for a companion?
If so, I'd love to meet him for a date.

My story is now a very happy one. I used to be a special needs rabbit at SaveABunny, because someone abandoned me at The San Francisco shelter with a very badly broken leg. As you can see from the photo below, I was in a lot of pain and my leg needed to be splinted for several weeks. We weren't even sure if my leg might need to be amputated.

The good news is that my leg has completely healed! I am an active, healthy girl who is ready to be adopted to a home of my very own. My foster parents love me very much, but they aren't able to keep me, because they are a medical foster site for SaveABunny and are needed for critically injured rabbits. They wantonly the best for me, so I can stay with them until the perfect home comes along. They are very protective of me!

They want to make sure that I have mostly free-range or many hours of cage-free time every day, plus unlimited fresh hay and a nice serving of yummy greens per day.

Their nickname for me is "Mumbles", because I am a chatty girl who likes to "talk" with people about my observations on the world.
It's very conversational and I think I have a lot of important things to talk about!

Do you want to visit me and talk with me? I hope so!
-----------------------------------------

I was left at San Francisco Animal Care and Control with a badly broken front leg. The vet at SFACC was very kind to me and splinted my leg and gave me pain medication. However, the shelter is no place for an injured and fragile girl like me.

So, I came to SaveABunny as my only hope. Front leg fractures can be much more serious than rear leg and so my prognosis is guarded at this time. I have an appointment to see a private veterinarian later this week who can provide more specialized consultation about my care.

I am not available for adoption at this time. However, I really do need medical sponsors to help SaveABunny pay for my care. SaveABunny is one of the only places in the SF Bay Area that would even consider helping me. They rely on people like you to help support their rescue work. If you love rabbits, but are not able to adopt, sponsoring a rabbit like me is such a compassionate and helpful way to save lives.

I really want to be alive and to live a long healthy life. I did not want to be euthanized. This was my only chance and I ant you to know that we are incredibly grateful for your support in saving precious lives, like mine.
