Original Adoption Story

Hi everyone. I am a real rescue success story! Some of you may remember me as the "Oakland Baby Bunny who was thrown to pitbulls." I was in very bad shape when I first came to SaveABunny.

I am now healed, neutered and have grown into a small, very cute and gentle loving rabbit. I am a real delight to be with. Here I am with my friend Marvin, the cat. I am patiently waiting to find my forever home. I hope it's with you! Please come and meet me soon.

Here's my story:

On a Tuesday evening (1/25), Oakland Police Officers delivered me to Oakland Animal Services. I had been dragged out from under a car by a couple of kids and thrown over a fence into a yard with three pitbulls. I was traumatized and also covered in deadly motor oil.

The owner of the house called police who came and got me and rushed me to Oakland Animal Srvices. Oakland Animal Services started to clean me off, so I wouldn't swallow too much motor oil and called SaveABunny, for emergency rescue assistance.

I was tired and weary, and needed TLC and medication for bite wounds and a deep, painful abscess in my mouth. I was bathed with a special solution to remove oil and given immediate medical care.

I am now doing really well and my physical wounds have healed. I am a happy guy, but am a little afraid of dogs. I'm sure you'll understand.
Please come and meet me soon!
