Tell me about it!

I've got six bunnies, only one of them a Dutch, but he's got the most opinionated personality of the bunch.

When picked up, he's offended, not frightened. When his pen is cleaned, he is outraged. When offered mustard greens, he is disdainful.

My vet said he's the bunny that should get the vote for most likely to live to be fifteen, simply because he's so feisty and ornery.

Thank you for urging people to vote. I am very opinionated and know which presidential candidate, propositions, measures, city officials, and such to vote for, but this probably isn't the place to push these opinions of mine.

However, I would like to urge all animal lovers and animal rights activists (I would assume that people who visit this site like animals to a certain degree) to vote a resounding "yes" on California's proposition 2. A "yes" vote on proposition 2 will combat some of the worst abuses in factory farming, protect the environment, and support family farmers.

It's wrong to confine veal calves, breeding pigs, and egg-laying hens in tiny cages barely larger than their bodies. Calves are tethered by the neck and can barely move, pigs in severe confinement bite the metal bars of their crates, and hens get trapped and even impaled in their wire cages. We wouldn’t force our companion animals to live in filthy, cramped cages for their whole lives, and we shouldn’t force farm animals to endure such misery.

Thank you,
Victor Ly
